Indeed, the interior could use a make over, and it got it all right! The special tire pattern (handcut by Michelin), was the theme chosen for the interior: the pattern was a stylized repeating landscape that went from city to sky to land and sea, echoing the off road origins of the Tracker Referring to the X Games earlier, the entire ideation process revolved around what kind of extreme activities people in my age bracket would do: bungee, rock climbing, hiking, going to work... |

Mini Me??? And a "mini me" of a Tracker left its "tracks" and rolled inside the cabin. And that's where the name came from, surprise, surprise. The passenger area was the one chosen to be highlighted. But if you look closely, the pattern can also be seen in the driver's seat. In retrospect, a white and thicker stiching would have highlighted this area better. |
